We see a few accidents on Hvar every year and most of them are in easy routes. The reasons are the same as in every part of the world… Accidents are mostly due to the fact that easy routes are frequented by less experienced climbers, but also to the fact that routes under 6a are not as steep and falls can be technical to negotiate. Thousands of climbers come to Hvar every year and a large majority are climbing in the easy or midrange sectors. Yesterday afternoon, a French girl fell on her back to a ledge in Luk, 5c. She was flown with a helicopter to Split for emergency care. Get well soon and take care!

Update: the French girl walked out of the hospital and continued her travels, from what we here. So, really, nothing happened. Good news.
